Aura Battler Dunbine (戦士ダンイン Seisenshi Danbain) is an anime television series, created by Sunrise, aired in Japan TV from either 1983 to 1984, ran for 49 episodes, & Xii volumes of video cds were freed in VHS and DVD. Created by Hajime Yatate (a pseudonym for the Sunrise team) and Yoshiyuki Tomino, director of such anime series like Gundam and Heavy Metal L-Gaim, it was quite succesful in Japan, due to its combination of complex characters, radical mecha designs, & plot twists.
Dunbine was one of a number one anime series to combine fantasy with modern science fiction. the series is placed inside the mediaeval-such as globe of Byston Easily, resembling a countryside around medieval Europe by owning kingdoms ruled by monarchs in castles, armies of unicorn-riding calvary armed with blade & crossbows, & little winged animals known as Ferario, or even fairies, flying about offering aid or even hidrance based in their mood.
A independent draw to a series were the insect-insectlike Aura Battlers, utilized per people of Byston Easily to fight their wars. These fighting cases come powered by the mighty energy known as "aura" or "life energy", which is transmitted to the suit per pilot.
Plot
the series followed the independent character known when Sho Zama, as he suddenly finds himself in the globe of Byston Easily when a motocross accident. Byston Easily is placed in a second dimension located between a sea & a l&, and is populated by having dragons, castles, knights, and mighty golem called Aura Battlers. Another time Sho is found to possess the super mighty "aura", he is drafted into a Byston Easily conflict when a pilot of the lavender-colored Dunbine.
When around more Tomino creations, Dunbine's cast is populated by Nordic-shopping military types inside detailed costumes inside 1 side, the immature Japanese hero caught in the midst, & beautiful female warriors in each sides. There are romances that cut through battle lines, & a non-prevent battles between detailed fighting craft toward l& and on the air. Virtually all of the cast pilot Aura Battles, although ther come lots of standard dirigible, little fighters, & big warships as well.
Related Notes
Yoshiyuki Tomino directed a series, which is according to an earliest novel, "The Wings of Lin" (which didn't feature a Aura Battler mechas in a least, it were added to the series at the insistence of the sponsors, Trefoil & Bandai). A series spawned many model & toys lines, too when related OVAs and spin-offs.
1 spin-byproduct of the series, the Three-episode OVA known as Aura Battler Dunbine: Tale of Neo Byston Easily was freed inside 1988. A series' action come about 700 years when a cases of the original.
A character of Cham (or even periodically triticum aestivum spelta Chum), is virtually monovular to the character of Lillith from either Heavy Metal L-Gaim. It part an monovular appearance & race, likewise when a equivalent voice actress. This is typically joked astir although truth cause has never really been officially said. Occasionally speculate that Tomino got the soft spot for Cham, & felt rather putting the nigh monovular character in another series. The rattling rarity for Tomino, world health organization typically attend outstanding lengths to make a point characters can't become reused.
This is however a second of Tomino's series' in which i personally understand his "Kill 'em all" style appeared again. Completely of the independent cast is jolly very much flushed in the final battle. 100% except a single, Sho's fairy companion Cham. These are hinted all the same, that despite all the demise, all the characters can use upright returned to Byston Easily. A final battle took place olympic games, whenever a majority of the independent cast became stranded there sooner in the series.
Cham herself, lonesomely heads back to Byston Easily allowing the series by using a bittersweet guide. Although sad, the ending does leave supplementary interpretation for a happier ending than that of Space Runaway Ideon , a last series Tomino worked in which has get legendary for with the damn & virtually all fatal ending of any anime up to now. (costing a shacks of non lone a independent cast, however a entire universe!)
Super Robot Wars
A Dunbine characters, mecha, & plot line elements produce appearances around quite an few games in the Super Robot Wars series by Banpresto; Most notably a "first" series, which ended. Banpresto has gone in to produce spinoff series' ingesting place around different universes like a Alpha series & a Impact/MX series. Yet, Dunbine has mass produced couple appearances within these latter titles. Numbers of strongly want to look at the two go to inside a few form. A Aura Battler mecha were completely unarguably a virtually all dodge crazy units in the game using decently attack. But, fallowing a select few action a select few of a Aura Battlers were a cappella to channel the pilots' Aura energy to unleash super right attacks.
